FMP project test shoot

In order to get a good idea of the type of shots I decided to organise a test shoot at one of the locations I had chosen. I felt as if the scene in which the girlfriend is attacked needed considerable practice in order to achieve the correct feel and sense of urgency, it was also decided that in order to better convey this feel we would employ quick cuts of the attack during the scene in which the main character is attempting to piece together his real memories. The attack takes place in the main bedroom and instead of the actress we used Georgina as a stand in.

At first I found difficult to set up the right shots for what I wanted the scene to be like, space within the room became an issue but we quickly rectified that problem my moving things around in order to get the camera into the positions I wanted. However the footage turned out quite well and although we only practiced the one scene it did mirror what I had in mind rather well. Obviously we couldn't view the footage through a black and white filter like I planned but the core footage was good.

We also practised the rest of the scene wherein the boyfriend is outside having a cigarette then proceeds upstairs to start the attack.

Here is some brief test footage of the outside scene;
